Hoover Chamber Awards Scholarships To Four Students

SANFORD - The Sanford Chamber of Commerce Education Committee last week awarded $500 scholarships to four graduating seniors from Crooms Academy of Information Technology, Seminole High School and Lake Mary High School.

The winners were: Benjamin Benomar from Crooms Academy of Information Technology, who will attend either Georgia Institute of Technology or Cornell University; Chad Albritton, also from Crooms Academy of Technology, who will attend Stetson University; Mi "Michelle" Kwon from Seminole High School, tentatively attending Duke University; and Cassandra Louis Duthil from Lake Mary High School, who will attend Manhattan College.

The students had to show academic excellence all four years, a proven track record of giving back to the community through volunteering, and participation in extracurricular activities and clubs.
