Is Two Percent Inflation Enough To Pull The Rug Out From Under The S&P 500?

Aunt Nancy’s Day Care, which came under fire for a previous rent-free deal to provide in-school service to Lincoln-Way area teachers, announced that Friday was its last day despite having two years remaining on a three-year contract.

Owner Nancy Power acknowledged in a letter to families that this would “be a shock to many,” but said she has considered such actions for more than two years since she was “struggling” with low enrollment.

“It is simply not a sustainable situation for us to continue operations any longer,” she wrote.

“Please know we were very deliberate in choosing this time to close our doors,” she wrote, noting that she was not planning to provide service over the summer and wanted to give parents ample time to find another service before the fall.
